The DeltaWMS:Third Party Logistics (TPL) best-in-class warehouse management solution has been developed to meet the competitive and complex multiple-customer, just-in-time service needs of the TPL market with customer-by-customer stock accounting, labelling, inventory management and online customer reporting. The system can also be integrated with the external TPL customer’s IT environment.

DeltaWMS:Third Party Logistics is suitable for shared user and sole-contract environments; control parameters allow the user to configure the system for each contract customer. Delta’s tailored, contract-specific system services include label design, client EDI interfaces and stationery.

For paper-based put-away and picking, barcode scanning or fully functional radio frequency (RF) warehouse environments the DeltaWMS system improves stock location accuracy, reduces labour costs and enhances customer service levels. DeltaWMS enables full stock traceability - from point of receipt to point of despatch ­ for every item that moves through the warehouse.

DeltaWMS’ tried and tested EDI interfaces using Microsoft’s © industry-standard DTS technology simplify integration with core supply chain applications.

The system’s Internet web browser module allows both user and customer to directly manage stock and orders from anywhere in the world, 24/7 and in real-time, improving customer service and reducing administration.

Powerful reporting functions within the DeltaWMS environment allow an organisation to manage all aspects of warehouse operation, including individual performance: while integration with email allows reports to be sent to staff, customers or suppliers, 24/7.

Unrivalled product definition flexibility enables multiple storage and picking methods. User-defined parameters make it possible to define virtually any stock item regardless of shape, size, unit of measure or unit quantity, with stock (for example) defined as palletised, unpalletised or mixed and storage areas defined as ambient, chilled, frozen etc. Locations can be defined (for example) as bulk, block stack, racked, narrow aisle, P&D, pick-face, quarantine etc.
